Household employment templates and planning tools
Start with a worksheet that matches the task you are doing. These resources help describe a role and assign setup responsibilities. They do not replace an employment agreement, official forms, or advice about your particular arrangement.
Describe a nanny position
Use the nanny job-description template to describe duties, schedule, gross compensation, offered benefits, requirements, and the application process.
Download the editable job-description text. Open it in a text editor or copy it into your preferred document editor. Replace the bracketed prompts and delete unused options before sharing.
For context, read Hiring a nanny. The template is a recruiting aid, not an employment contract.
Organize onboarding
Use the household employee onboarding checklist to assign tasks before the offer, before the first shift, during orientation, and after the first payday.
Download the editable onboarding checklist text. Add an owner, due date, completion date, and secure record location. Keep sensitive payroll and identity information out of the worksheet.
Adapt the planning questions to the role
- Hiring a housekeeper: define cleaning duties, supplies, access, and role boundaries.
- Hiring a newborn care specialist: clarify the service, shifts, handovers, and employment questions.
- Before hiring a household employee: organize the overall setup sequence.
The available editable job-description asset is written for a nanny position. Separate housekeeper and newborn care specialist templates are not currently offered here.
Read the safe-use guidance
Before relying on a completed worksheet, read How to use household employment templates safely. Check the actual work arrangement and applicable requirements, remove placeholders, protect private information, and use official forms where required.
Calculator status
HHP does not currently offer a reviewed payroll or tax calculator in this resource set. The existing calculator preview is not presented here as a validated planning tool. Use your payroll provider or qualified adviser for calculations based on your current facts and applicable rules.
