Current terms
Honest House Promise terms.
These are lightweight founding-stage terms for participation and support payments. They should be reviewed by counsel before a broader public launch.
1. What Honest House Promise is
Honest House Promise is a public pledge and participation initiative supporting legal household employment education, agency conversations, and provider-neutral resources.
Honest House Promise is not a law firm, payroll provider, accounting firm, tax advisor, compliance auditor, certification body, or verification authority.
2. Participation is not certification
Participating Agency status means an agency has chosen to participate in the pledge framework and current participation process. It does not mean Honest House Promise has certified, verified, audited, approved, or guaranteed that agency’s legal compliance.
3. Badge and listing use
Paid Participating Agencies may use the Honest House Promise badge only while their participation remains current and only in a way that accurately describes participation. Badge language must not imply certification, legal approval, payroll compliance, or government endorsement.
Honest House Promise may remove or pause badge rights, public listings, or profile pages if an agency misuses the badge, misstates participation, publicly contradicts the pledge, or creates reputational or legal risk for the initiative.
4. Payments and renewals
The Participating Agency membership is currently priced at $495 per year. If paid through the Stripe annual membership link, it may renew annually through Stripe unless canceled before the renewal date.
General support contributions are one-time payments and do not create badge rights, agency profile rights, participation status, charitable donation status, or sponsorship rights unless separately agreed in writing.
Founding Partner, sponsor, and larger support commitments should be documented by separate written agreement or invoice terms.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Founding-stage agency membership payments may be refunded within 14 days if no profile, badge delivery, or substantial participation work has begun. After that, refunds are handled case by case.
General support contributions are generally non-refundable unless made in error. Annual memberships can be canceled for future renewal, but cancellation does not automatically require a refund for the current year.
6. No legal or payroll advice
Honest House Promise resources are educational and informational. Families, agencies, care professionals, and partners should consult appropriate legal, payroll, tax, insurance, or accounting professionals for advice about their specific circumstances.
7. Provider-neutral policy
Honest House Promise does not require agencies or families to use one specific payroll provider. Provider, sponsor, referral, or partner relationships should be disclosed where relevant and should not be described as legal endorsement.
